Peer Power Rocks
UAS is very pleased to announce the start of a new, monthly, volunteer program which will enable UAS high school students to connect with People of Determination (aged 14 and up). The UAS CAS students will engage with the participants and mentor them through enjoyable activities, as part of various themed sessions. This program has been implemented with the assistance of the Autism Rocks Support Centre team.
The IB CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) Program is designed to allow Gr 11 and Gr 12 students to develop as individuals and as part of a team. CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development, as well as their social and civic development, through experiential learning. This lends an important counterbalance to the academic pressures of the IB Diploma Programme.
